Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a qualified Trust & Estate Tax Senior with an active CPA license to join their team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, focusing on trust and estate tax matters. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing IRS Forms 706 (Estate Tax Return), 709 (Gift Tax Return), and 1041 (Fiduciary Income Tax Return).
  • Handling CA state fiduciary returns (Form 541) with precision and accuracy.
  • Collaborating with attorneys, fiduciaries, and wealth advisors to gather necessary information for tax filings and allocations.
  • Assist in trust allocations between marital, bypass, GST-exempt, and GST non-exempt subtrusts, and fund trusts based on formula clauses.

Qualifications

  • CPA certification is required.
  • 4+ years of experience as a CPA with an active license.
  • Direct experience preparing Forms 706, 709, and 1041.
  • Strong background in estate and trust taxation.
  • Experience working in law firms, trust companies, or private client service groups is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and tools.

Required Work Hours

Monday through Friday, full-time schedule.
